Policies
Practice Policy: Students must practice Monday–Thursday at home and attend all Friday rehearsals. Consistent daily practice is essential. Failure to prepare may result in dismissal to prioritize committed students.
Attendance Policy: This is a high-level, nationally competitive ensemble where consistent attendance is essential for blend, precision, and group success. All rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances are mandatory.
Rehearsals: Up to 2 absences allowed per semester (excused or unexcused).
Dress rehearsals and performances: Zero unexcused absences allowed.
Excused absences for rehearsals must be submitted in writing at the beginning of the semester or as soon as the conflict is known. Acceptable reasons include illness, family emergency, mandatory school conflict, or religious observance.
Tardies: Three tardies equal one full absence.
Conflicting activities: Students are encouraged to participate in multiple activities, but choir dress rehearsals and performances take priority. Known conflicts should be listed on the Commitment Form.
