Audition/Placement Process

Complete the registration form above. If you select Academy Singers (vocal placement) or Concert Choir (audition), you will be contacted in July by a SAAVA team member to schedule your child’s vocal placement or sign up for an audition. Details will be sent at that time. Students enrolling in Encore and Interlude do not need to audition.

Practice Policy

Students are expected to practice at home Monday-Thursday and attend ALL Friday rehearsals on campus. I reserve the right to terminate choir members if they fail to practice the required repertoire. This is merely to make space for students who are committed to contributing to their vocal growth.

Attendance Policy

The high level of artistic excellence expected at SAAVA performances MANDATES regular attendance. Students are expected to arrive on time and attend all rehearsals, performances, and other events.

Excessive Absences

After THREE absences, SAAVA staff will request a meeting with the singer and parent(s). The SAAVA director will request an individual vocal check with the singer to check on the singer’s musical preparation. At the discretion of SAAVA directors, the singer may be dismissed from the choir. Any singer who incurs two consecutive absences will also be asked to have a vocal check.

Refund Policy

Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Tuition is refundable according to the following:

  • Withdrawal BEFORE September 15, 100% tuition refunded
  • Withdrawal between September 15 and BEFORE October 1, 50% tuition refunded
  • Withdrawal AFTER September 30, NO REFUND issued

Registration and Tuition

All fees are due upon enrollment. After completing this form and clicking Enroll at the bottom of this page, you will be taken to a webpage to pay registration and tuition fees. Your enrollment is not complete until payment is complete.

One Semester

  • $250 – ONE SEMESTER – ONE SINGER
  • $475 – ONE SEMESTER – 2 or more singers

Annual (Aug-May)

  • $425 – ANNUAL (Aug-May) – ONE SINGER
  • $825 – ANNUAL (Aug-May) – 2 or more singers

Financial Hardship

  • If you are experiencing financial hardship and would like to apply for assistance, please complete the Financial Hardship Application at the same time you submit your enrollment. These will be reviewed beginning July 1. Proof of income is required.
